Empress T
Technically Empress T is a Blend of N-Methylglucamine with specific pH stabilizers as in case of Telmisartan we need to increase the pH to enhance the absorption of API in given media , so Empress T helps the drug to release in that level

Procedure
- Slurry preparation:
- Dissolve Empress T in about same volume of IPA , now slowly add Telmisartan and aerosil 200 and stir it continuous to prepare slurry and keep it aside for 4 hours ( minimum recommended)
- Binding and sizing:
- Now add, Mannitol, Lactose in the above written step and stir it and mix well to for wet mass
- Dry the wet mass the temperature of FBD or tray drier Strictly to be kept BELOW 40Oc as the drying of temperature will degrade the drug
- Pass the semidry mass through # 10 sieve or 8mm Perforated screen.
- Dry the granules till LOD remains below 2 %.
- Again pass through 24 # mesh.
- Lubrication:
- Sift the Magnesium Stearate, Cross Povidone, CCS, and Talc through 60# sieve separately, and Aerosil through 40# sieve.
- Mix above mixture in suitable blender.
- Compress the tablet having hardness 5-6 kg/cm2.
