Empress 80

Empress 80 is the powdered form of polysorbate 80 ( Tween 80 ) , here Polysorbate 80 has been Adsorbed in certain Adsorbant to prepare a stable and white powder to incorporate directly in Tablet and capsule formulation , the main use of Empress 80 is as Surfactant and thus resulting in enhancement of Drug solubility , some molecule which have poor solubility in media in those drugs it will work as a solubliser and thus help to increase dissolution , as to incorporate liquid form of tween 80 has some issues like it increase the process and it becomes messy , in later stage it shows the yellow patches on the tablets which looks ugly ,the API on which it will work flawless is Atorvastatin, Clomefen Citrate, Rosuvastatin , Fenofibrate and on all those drugs where solubility is an issue
